On Friday 4th September a new Double Boat was launched at Christchurch Rowing Club, thanks to the generosity of the Clingan Trust Charity. The boat was named in honour of Gurth Brooke, who sadly passed away last year bequeathing a significant amount of his Estate to the Charity. The trusts secretary David Richardson presented a cheque for £2000.00 to Mark Sims, Christchurch Rowing club Chairman.

Brian Woodifield, past Chairman of the Trust commented that Gurth was a very keen sportsman who would be very pleased with the Charity's decision to fund the purchase of this new boat for use by the youth of Christchurch.
