Southea Regatta
It was a small but perfectly formed gathering for CRC crews at Southsea this year with 6 of our ladies and 4 of our men representing the club. Positioned amongst a long line of south coast crews with boats of all shapes and sizes from clubs like Deal, Herne Bay, Shoreham, Worthing and Bexhill as well as our own regatta clubs, it was certainly a big affair. Southsea gave us glorious sunshine all day with wild water conditions testing us all and even seeing Itchen Novice 4 cap

Their first race of the day was the men’s coxless four of Andy Galloway, James Renoylds, Robert Standley and Andy Holloway, a close run race with Christchurch wining by just under a length. The four were joined in a composite crew of Mike Kelly,

Swanage Regatta
Swanage Regatta After a week of rain and wind it looked questionable as to whether the favourite Hants and Dorset event of the season, Swanage Regatta would take place. Much to the excitement of all competitors, fortune favoured the organisers, who had the foresight to shorten the course to 1500m, and the sea was fairly flat and even the rain, for the most part, held off. The picturesque location coupled with the traditional after racing fancy dress evening entertainment attr

CRC Regatta
Success for Christchurch at their home regatta. Christchurch Rowing club played host on Saturday to the latest round of the Hants and Dorset championship series of regattas.
