CRC Christmas Party

CRC Christmas Party is open to all members and their families and friends. Ticket are £8 per person which includes a buffet meal catered by Wayne and club music.The evening will start around 7pm. 

 

Tickets can be purchased by Friday 7th December for food numbers.

 

Tickets can be purchased HERE, or by putting cash or cheque in an envelope throught he main post box marked for the attention of Jenny Gould.

Walton SB Head

Walton Small Boats Head is raced over a course of approximately 3000 metres, from d'Oyly Carte Island, Weybridge, to the Miskins Wharf, which is just upstream of Walton Rowing Club.
The race is held in four divisions starting at 10.00, 11.30, 13.00 and 14.30
Competitors in J16 and above are encouraged to race in more than one event in different divisions, competitors may not race more than once in the same event (BROE won’t let you).
Events are offered in all combinations of the following categories running over all four divisions: 1x / 2x / 2-, Open / Women / Mixed, Elite, Senior, IM1, IM2, IM3, Nov, All Masters Cats (including novice), J18, J17, J16, J15, J14.

Entry fees: Sculler £11.00,  Pair or double £22.00.  Entries will close at 12 noon on Sunday 7th December.

Burway Small Boats Head

Challenging 3000m upstream course on the Thames from Chertsey Lock to Penton Hook Lock.

Three Divisions at 9:30, 11:30 and 13:30 Held in accordance with British Rowing Rules of Racing.

- Pewter tankards to all winners where three or more race - ** Fastest Male & Female Sculler **

This years Hants & Dorset ARA Presentation Dinner is taking place at the Novotel in Southampton on Saturday, 8th November - and is being organised on the Associations behalf by Paula Williams, of Coalporters Rowing Club.

Active Members Meeting

The primary purpose of this meeting is to propose the rowing committee for the 2015 season. It is extremely important that we fill all these positions to enable the club to compete at the winter heads and Hants and Dorset regattas for the next year. A nomination form is on the board outside of the changing rooms for anyone to nominate people for rolls.

Weybridge Silver Sculls

The Weybridge Silver Sculls is the oldest sculling head on the non-tidal reaches of the Thames, having been founded in 1956. Many famous scullers have won the trophy including Sir Steve Redgrave, Guy Pooley (4 times winner), Chris Baillieu, Dan Topolski and Tim Crooks. The event was expanded a few years ago to include double sculls, and we now offer J13 and J14 coxed quads (boys and girls).

Boat Naming Ceremony

We are very pleased to announce that we have 4 boats to name, and we have quest coming from the local community to help celebrate this occasion and would love to see you all there too.

 

The bar will be open and we'll have a 'Bring your Own' BBQ, we'll cook it, just bring down what ever you wish to have. Starts at 7pm.
